This is the site-wide to-do list. It is maintained primarily by Jak Himself, though anyone can add to, update, and work off of it. Completed items should be removed from the list.

This list is not necessarily exhaustive. Rather, things are added as they are thought of but not gotten to immediately.

Major milestones

Revisit project[]

The revisit project is essentially a second revamp. It involves one last go at all the articles for an additional layer of quality control, with the intention to bring all articles to "final" quality (not counting various subsequent and inevitable minor revisions).

Article rewrites should occur at the sandbox of the user rewriting the page (e.g. User:Jak Himself/sandbox 2). Articles are generally to be rewritten by category, rather than chronologically as in the revamp. This is to help avoid chronological bias and game-specific creative ruts.

Beginner tasks[]

Redirects
  • Create toxic bug spray (source: website), redirect into and cover appropriately on spray gun (also cover in Betsy)
    • Needs discussion. Possibly create standalone page (move to intermediate if so).

  • Dark Skyheed (I think? I don't think he was ever referred to as Dark Skyheed, but it used to be a separate page so it got a redirect, so probably delete).

  • War for Haven City, not its proper name. Either the guide or bible says people refer to it as the 'conflict', research further?
  • Ol' Betsy
  • Bugs, probably merge the notable bugs (Jak X autosave and Gorge time) with their respective game pages.

    • DB mentions she's adept at business
    • Think of some better image options, such as:
      • Tess and Daxter reuniting in Jak 3
      • Tess shushing Daxter in Jak II
      • Hot Coffee
      • Tess rubbing Daxter's back/belly
  • For Kor and Kaeden, make sure to mention they're among ottsel, moncaw, and babak as non-human intelligent species. Also find a better term for "non-human sapient", as sapience implies more than just intelligence.
  • "One of several characters to have a father with no apparent mother" — make sure Jak, Keira, Ashelin Praxis, Ximon, Rayn, G.T. Blitz are listed, and that the aforementioned line is mentioned in each respective article.
  • "One of the few characters to have a mentioned mother" — make sure Keira, Pecker, Sig, and Kleiver are listed, and that the aforementioned line is mentioned in each respective article.
  • On the Morph Gun page and its mods, mention which can do the wastelander combo.

Intermediate tasks[]

  • Communicator needs a few fixes.
    • First is style/wordiness, needs to flow better, some sentences are constructed pretty oddly.
    • In "Other devices"
      • It currently points out the palm pilot but doesn't link to security pass. Perhaps security pass should be renamed to "palm pilot" and be about the device in general, which serves as both a communication device and a security pass. Once that is done, link to it from that section.
      • Currently misidentifies Rayn's device as the palm pilot, need to mention the fact that it's different.
      • Should we mention the MH communicator Errol used? Or any other holographic communicators
  • Ottsel
    • TAOND mentions that Daxter's design started with a sketch by Rob Titus, but the current ottsel article doesn't mention that in the BTS section (only Zembillas and Rafei), so need to add.
  • Add information to relevant pages about the PS4 releases and Collector's Editions.

Policies, guidelines, and projects
  • Split scope info in Project:About to separate policy page. Clarify line in scope policy about articles dedicated solely to BTS; Jak 4 is currently in violation of this line, but I think we should change the policy rather than delete the page (while still generally forbidding pure BTS articles like cut content or dev bios)
  • Clarify on Project:Notability how inherent stubs may still need to have separate articles if there's no natural parent article but it still needs representation as a distinct part of the franchise, or if there are multiple options for a parent article (which would mean the topic stands on its own two feet despite not much is to be said about it) (ex: yakow, time map, life seed, etc.)
  • Mention in Project:Verifiability a rule about central sourcing, basically the idea that you don’t need to source everything that would normally need a source in a single article if you can link to a different article where the source is more directly relevant. For example, if you mention Jak’s age on Daxter’s page, you don’t need to source that, you just link to Jak’s page where his age is already sourced.
