The Manta works best on stationary targets, so keep moving. Because they are small and silent enemies that will not attack you head on, do not think that there are none left. There will usually be one left in the surrounding area.

Even if a Manta attacks you can just step aside to avoid it.

===Strategy===

If you target a Manta, simply use the [[Beam Reflexor]] (or [[Blaster]], although the former is better) and shoot. Because the Manta is slow they will easily be hit by the reflecting beams.

Concept art of the manta

Mantas are small enemies with a little head and large wings. They have a small tail with a little red light. A manta will wait on the ground where it is practically invisible, if an enemy comes near they will fly upwards and attack. They often work alone but can also be found in groups of two or three and also with other metal heads such as the grunt or gekko.

It is unknown if the luminous orb on its tail serves any purpose.

Combat

The manta lies in wait until an enemy comes near, where it will then fly up and flap it's wings towards the enemy at a relatively low speed. When close enough it will start to dive and then glide towards it's target in an attempt to strike it. The Beam Reflexor is ideal for these enemies as the reflecting beams can even strike them while they are still hidden.
