Masks

Masks are collectible bonus items that Daxter can wear in his self-titled spin-off. There are six masks in total, namely of Jak, a human Daxter, Samos Hagai as well as Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank. Masks are found by smashing well-hidden tiny portraits in specific locations. These portraits have a Krimzon Guard symbol with a black and gold coloring to them. Masks are then toggled on and off from the cheats menu.

Ratchet mask[]

The first available mask is in the transit system a couple rooms after the first subway train riding section. You will have to climb up a large machine with energy leading upwards and periodic safe spots marked by blue lights. At the top is a number of openings blocked by fans, except for one that is the path forward. Stand in front of the opening and look down into the gap to the left of it, shortly below it is a platform with the first portrait on it.

Clank mask[]

The Clank mask is in the first tanker level, after several of the giant trampolines you enter the inner area and have to make your way past some machinery. You will eventually have to climb a wall, at the top you must turn around and climb another grating on the wall behind you. At the top here is a bug cage, turn around again and you will be able to see the portrait on a ledge on the other side of the room.

Sly Cooper mask[]

The third mask is in the Port, hidden behind the warp gate leading to Emerald Isle. There's a collection of metal and wooden boxes stashed in this warehouse and there is a small space between the smallest metal box, from where you can smash the portrait which is inside the box itself, visible through a hole.

Human Daxter mask[]

Daxter's human mask is inside an earlier visited location, the Westside Hotel, but requires the flamethrower attachment to get it. After sliding down a pipe you will have to walk up a slope, turn around and hover towards the floor on the other side. There is a hidden dead end here with the portrait in the corner.

Samos mask[]

The Samos mask is in a hidden room in the first building in the lumber mill area. After the first bug zapper and passing two saw blades, do not jump down onto the ground and instead look to the left. From here, hover to the corner of a visible platform and then turn left again to find the portrait.

Jak mask[]

The last mask is in the prison, in the second cell block with three patrolling guards. You will need to grab the key in this area to access the cell doors. The portrait is on a shelf in the north-eastern cell, the second one if going counter-clockwise.
