The ram head is an enemy in Jak II. It is a large metal head closely resembling a rhinoceros. They were only seen at Mountain Temple in the consecutive missions "Find lens in Mountain Temple", "Find gear in Mountain Temple", and "Find shard in Mountain Temple".

Closely resembling a rhinoceros, ram heads are rather large metal heads with impenetrable armor. They have a dark purple skin complexion with four eyes and various metal plates and spikes.
There are only three ram heads in the entire game. Presumably, ram heads were placed in the Mountain Temple to guard it (Jak had to collect the Lens, Shard and Gear here and each path had one ram head). They are either found on a large platform or in a place where Jak cannot escape and is forced to fight the beast.
Combat[]
A ram head will only chase after it's enemy attempting to head butt it. Occasionally it will halt by leaning on its back legs and using its forelegs to stop it, where it will then turn around and continue chasing. After being provoked for a short while, it will stand on its rear legs, exposing it's belly. It's belly is the only vulnerable place on its body, and when this happens, use the Blaster and attempt to shoot it as many times as possible before it goes back down. After a few rounds of this, the animal will die.
In Hero Mode, Dark Giant can destroy the creature in three hits.[1]
