Move needed[]
Just noting here, per MOS § Representation, this page needs to be moved to Cyber Errol. We will most likely wait to get to it during the revisit project, but I felt it needed to be said so people aren't confused when they read the guideline. —Jak Himself (talk·contributions) 16:01, December 14, 2015 (UTC)
- Why not just "Errol"?--

- Well I guess "Cyber" is a lot like the "Metal" in "Metal Kor" and "Metal Kaeden", so I concur, you have a good point, it should just be "Errol". —Jak Himself

- In fact, there's no mention of "Cyber" in the Jak 3 script. I assume the name comes from the model viewer (and one cutscene name, probably mission names too), which would definitely mean that "Cyber" is just used to differentiate him from his original state and not an actual, proper name. —Jak Himself

- To clear it up. His name should be 'Errol', considering they always refer to him as Errol during the script (Jak 3 script). Cyber Errol is used for cutscene names, missions headers and the model viewer. --Tim H - Talk 18:47, December 14, 2015 (UTC)
- I always figured the "Cyber-" part wasn't anything to do with his name, and just describes his cyborg incarnation. So it'd be like, indeed, "Metal" in the Metal Head names.--

Heh, nearly 3 years later, done. —Jak Himself (talk·contributions) 00:14, November 12, 2018 (UTC)
Species[]
PSA: Do not change Errol's species to "cyborg". He himself states that he is pure metal:
- Errol: I live! (laughs) Still fighting for the weak link eh, Jak? Well I've had a few enhancements since we last met. Even the metal heads have their biological weakness. But me? I'm pure metal! I'd love to meet you again.[1]
We know it's possible to have AI identical to the previously-alive version of that person, as also seen with Vin, so it's not inconceivable that he's pure metal. Any organic features he has on his character model should be assumed to be purely cosmetic, since the wiki should not directly contradict anything a character says (at least about themselves). I have left an in-article comment pointing to this, so any changes without discussion here first will be met with a reversion and possibly a block. —Jak Himself (talk·contributions) 02:59, December 18, 2017 (UTC)
