Hephaestus' Cannon is a cannon with a high rate of fire and a huge spread. The more bullets that hit, the better!
The Vulcan Cannon, also called Hephaestus' Cannon or Hephaestus' Wrath, is a plane weapon featured in The Lost Frontier. Firing 200 depleted dark eco shells per second, the Vulcan Cannon stands head and shoulders above the majority of weapons available to Jak, really only losing to the Armageddon in terms of damage output. The Vulcan Cannon fires a large spray of bullets directly forwards at an incredibly high fire rate comparable to the laser. The spread of the weapon means it is both easier to hit smaller targets, while also dealing more damage to larger targets as they are more susceptible to being hit by the whole size of the bullet spray.

The rate of fire should not be wholly relied upon however, as even though the reload speed somewhat makes up for it, you will surely run out of ammunition more often that not in prolonged fights. As such, a reload time mod would be highly recommended to improve the efficiency even further.
